Tauranga city is one of the fastest growing regions in New Zealand, with beautiful natural scenery and superior lifestyle opportunities. We have magnificent beaches, lots of parks and reserves, farmland, orchards, and of course "The Mount' to walk around or climb up the top for spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the Bay of Plenty coastline. This is home to one of the largest and most efficient port facilities in New Zealand. Export tonnage is the largest throughput in NZ. The Port of Tauranga is central to industry in the region. The rural areas within the Western bay of Plenty contain many horticultural and farming industries and several smaller towns which support these industries. Head out to Katikati and check out the beautiful mural paintings throughout the main shopping centre. In Te Puke, learn about the history and process of growing kiwifruit. In Papamoa you can walk the golden beaches and in the Mount you can eat at lovely cafes after a swim or surf at the Main Beach.
